Due to the ongoing shelter-in-place orders throughout California, the Zonta Club of Berkeley/North Bay has had to cancel our presentation of the 2020 Lunafest Film Festival on Friday evening, March 27th. We sincerely apologize for this, and hope that our friends will be able to find another venue where they can watch this year’s short films highlighting women’s issues and concerns.
Our club uses this event to raise money for the Alameda County H.E.A.T. Watch program, and for Zonta’s international service projects. In past years, we were privileged to have Alameda County District Attorney, Nancy O’Malley attend our Lunafest, and talk about H.E.A.T. Watch program. Last year’s Lunafest helped us raise over $7000. We thank the staff of the Kala Art Gallery in Berkeley for continuing to help our club offer this female film festival at a great venue.
For more information about the films and to locate another venue later this summer, please go to the Lunafest website.
